CERAH’s Certificates of Advanced Studies (CAS) are 7-week intensive courses, and focus problem-solving in professional realities.
Offering a wide range of specialised CAS courses, CERAH provides the opportunity for professionals to deepen their knowledge and skills in particular thematic areas of humanitarian action. The CAS courses are designed for programme and team managers to improve their competencies and leadership in defining and implementing specific strategies, while focusing on problem-solving in professional realities.

Communication during aid action projects confronts several important challenges. Humanitarian workers need to,often simultaneously, build positive relations with the affected populations, authorities and journalists, raise awareness and support, as well as lobby the cause they defend.
Thematic Short Courses: 1-week courses (2 ECTS credits)
CERAH’s Thematic Short Courses (TSC) are 1-week intensive courses, and focus on specific issues relevant to humanitarian practitioners.
These highly interactive courses allow participants to analyze a range of issues of high importance to contemporary humanitarianism. They are led by senior academics and experienced humanitarian professionals, who guide students to develop their analytic skills and acquire practical tools.
