Then, Swiss Ministry for External Affairs in Bern at the Namibia Office, followed by the UN Department of Peace-keeping Operations in NY as Special assistant to the SRSG for Western Sahara.
Then, for the Swiss Defense Ministry, at the UN Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission in Panmunjom (Korean Peninsula) as Alternate Swiss Member (Lt.-Col. duty rank).
Then, at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (Department of Humanitarian Aid and Swiss Humanitarian Aid Unit - SHA) in Bern, as Deputy Head of General staff, then as Switzerland Country Director in the Russian Federation. Followed by Head of Multilateral Humanitarian affairs division and Deputy Head of the Department of Humanitarian Aid and SHA in Bern.
Then, Switzerland Deputy Permanent Representative to FAO, IFAD and WFP in Rome, followed since 2011 by Programme manager WFP and FAO/Emergencies at SDC/HA HQs in Berne.
In 2011, elected Mayor of the Swiss village of Ste-Croix.
